About Our Club

Mission:

"We serve the community and environment with an emphasis on Truckee, by identifying and addressing needs through active participation, fellowship and fundraising, leading with integrity and modeling the Rotary motto Service Above Self".

Vision:

We are people of action. Through our commitment to service with our personal and professional skills, we unite to solve our community's most significant challenges, continuously enhancing the town we cherish and inspiring others to join us in creating a brighter future.

The Rotary Club of Truckee was chartered on February 15, 1978. Our club has approximately 80+ active members who share a compelling sense of service and camaraderie. Each club member volunteers personal time and services to helping improve our community and works hard to raise funds through a variety of efforts, including the annual Big Night Out Event and Chris Matthew Crab & Pasta Feed, that the club contributes to local, national, and international projects.

We get our hands dirty blazing trails at our Trail Building / Rotarians at Work Day and support our community with many events including our support at the Seniors' Center - cleaning windows and facilities and rehab work. Learn more about the local programs and causes we support.

Our club is part of Rotary International, a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million professional and community leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in business, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. There are 35,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, genders, and creeds.
